Cecelia Pezdek
Program Coordinator, Global Health Residency Program
Cecelia Pezdek received her Batchelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also pursued language study in France and Costa Rica.
Growing up in the household of a doctor, dinner table discussions often centered on health and health care issues in Cecelia’s family. However, she developed a real interest in global health issues while traveling to Ecuador and Mexico in high school. Her diverse interests have since lead her to pursue opportunities in teaching, marketing and health sector business management.
As Programs Coordinator, she manages educational exchanges for Department of Medicine short term resident rotations, Duke graduate and undergraduate students, and foreign trainees. She is eager to enrich the educational experiences HYC offers to its trainees as well as help prepare them for future careers in global health.
