What We Do

Inspire young students and professionals by exposing them to potentially life changing experiences within the global village.

We provide global health education for Duke University trainees:

• Global Health Residency Program (18-24 month program)

• Department of Medicine Short-Term Resident Rotations (2-3 months)

• Medical Student Research Year (10-12 months)

• Medical Student Electives (4-5 weeks)

• Student internships (summer or year-long)

We develop mutually beneficial, collaborative relationships with global partners to address the health care needs of local communities by:

• Providing educational opportunities at Duke for foreign trainees from affiliated institutions.

• Developing collaborative research that addresses local community needs.

We support health care service and research efforts in resource-poor locations around the world by:

• Providing funding for infrastructure related to partnerships in educational service, research, and training.
