The Hubert Yeargan Center for Global Health has its foundation in the relationships it has fostered over the years with international collaborators around the world.   This has allowed students, residents, fellows and attending physicians to have the opportunity to spend extended periods of time overseas to receive research and clinical training in tropical medicine and other health issues in developing and impoverished regions.   In addition to the training of US personnel, the Global Health Center has had the opportunity to support trainees from other countries who are then able to bring newly acquired skills back to their host countries.
